Electronic Data

MBSolutions by Softactics, Inc. enables you to file insurance claims on standard HCFA 1500 and/or UB-92 forms, and to manually post payments, denials and adjustments toward services or account balances.  Electronic media claims submission and electronic payment remittance posting are also available.

Submitting insurance claims or accepting insurance payment remittances electronically allows your office the following benefits:

  • Reduced operating costs
  • Increased productivity
  • Reduction in claim turnaround time and rejected claims
  • Increased efficiency
  • Data accuracy and cash flow
  • Improved communications with payers
  • Improved patient relations

Electronic Media Claims (EMC) are submitted directly to the insurance carrier, if that carrier is able to accept claims in this manner, or through a clearinghouse.  Electronic Payment Remittance (EPR) files can be automatically posted if the insurance carrier is able to send payment remittance in this manner. EOB reports can be generated to review automatically posted payments and those payments that were rejected.

Contact Softactics through our Contact Information page to obtain more information regarding Electronic Media Claims or Electronic Payment Remittance, and how MBSolutions can become part of your health care billing solution.

Electronic submission with MBSolutions is HIPAA compliant, using 837 and 835 formats, and optionally provides for the ability to submit seamlessly direct to the payor or through Emdeon and other major clearinghouses.
